Prayer
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honour giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer
Romans 12 v 9-12
The Crossover Project began because of prayer and continues in the belief that continued, steadfast prayer is as important as worship, bible study, and preaching the Word of God. Time and time again, the scriptures contain encouragement from God to pray, and in the life of Jesus, we see that He prayed daily, often after or before a busy day of ministry, and He taught His disciples how to pray. With this background, we can determine that prayer is absolutely necessary if we are to truly follow His example, as although worship and music are given high importance in the church, Jesus seems to have placed a heavy emphasis on prayer, both personal and corporate.
With this in mind, the weekly prayer meeting is open to all to join, especially those who are in need or burden, as this is the place where we open doors to see the miraculous. Many prayers have been answered, people received healing, and faith deepened as a result. Each person is given the opportunity to share prayer requests, and also to give prayer updates when situations change. The floor is open for everyone to pray, without any form of formality or prerequisite jargon, as the emphasis is on each having a conversation with God as our Father, King, and Friend. So if you are looking to build intimacy with God and desire to be more open or surrendered to Him, then join us as we weekly encourage each other to do the same.
This meeting is held weekly on Wednesdays from 7:30 - 9 pm (BST) via the zoom link below:
